I have been using two of these bulbs continuously since November 2012.  After 3+ years of use, I'm still not sure if this was a good purchase.

The good: They are a little brighter than the fluorescent tubes they replaced.  They start at full brightness and don't flicker.  I don't have to replace them every 6-10 months like I did the fluorescent tubes.  

The bad: When left turned off for more than 30 minutes or so, they take 4 seconds to turn on.  In a dark, windowless bathroom, that's long enough that you have to stop and wait for them.  If you're not familiar with the delay (guests usually are not), it's long enough to conclude that the lights don't work, turn off the switch, and turn around.  If you've turned off the light switch and turned around, you may or may not catch the brief flash of the operational, but slow, light after 4 seconds.

Easily double the light outputof the conventional fluorescent bulb right next to it.
Not difficult to bypass the internal ballast: I cut 3 wires and spliced them into the sides. One side for each. I left the ballast in there. NO WAY will I go back to the old bulb!
I bought the daylight white one, my favorite "K" of choice.
Paid less than $30,shipped and it was a bargain.

we are in the process of removing all of the old florescent bulbs & replacing them all with led's. the light they give off with much less power used is amazing. it is great to be able to find a company that sells this product. the big box stores do not carry the products.

I felt I ought to take a few minutes to write and tell you how impressed I am with your luminaries!  I bought three 18" T8-replacement type lights to replace the flickering, dying, noisy fluorescents in my new apartment.  I also know the effects of exposure to mercury which is a known deadly neurotoxin and I am making every effort to rid my home of it.  These are the first fluorescent tube replacements I've had, so I was cautiously optimistic when I placed the order, but when I installed the new lights and switched them on, I immediately noticed a difference.  No ballast hum, and bright, full-spectrum cool white light is something you never expect to see from a fluorescent tube fixture.  These tubes produce at least twice as much useable light as the old 15-watt tubes did, and they use less than half the power!  Solid-state lighting is definitely the wave of the future! (more omitted for brevity)
